Clean Up

  • Clean up is the first phase of a yard make over. 
  • We will remove as much as much of the existing weeds and foliage by hand and shovel. This is to remove as much of the weeds with the root system to keep the weeds from coming right back. 
  • In addition to hand weeding we also have to option to use herbicide. Herbicide offer an additional layer of protection to prevent weeds returning. 

Fabric

  • Landscape fabric is an additional layer of protection that is added after the clean up phase is complete.
  • We make sure that when we install weed fabric that the layer underneath is as clear is if we were not putting down weed fabric. Weed fabric is a compliment to a good hand clearing and should not be a replacement for not weeding properly.

Mulch

  • The colors and types of mulch can vary depending on the setting and need. 
  • The classic dark chocolate mulch is the community favorite. It is a clean one size fits most when it comes to homes in our area.
  • Additional colors include red, black, natural colors, and gold, 
  • Additional styles include playground mulch, aromatic cedar mulch, as well as finer blends the the mulch is ground additional times.

What mulch should I use?

Your options for mulch may surprise you, aside from the common hardwood brown mulch, we are happy to offer a variety of colors such as brown, black, red, gold, and different "shreds" of mulch. Meaning the mulch is ground up more times giving it a smoother finish.
